The social enterprise Ateliere fara Frontiere (Workshops without Borders) is a Romanian foundation focusing on the social and professional integration of persons in difficulties. The workshop is located near the South Square (Piata Sudului) in a former industrial space.
Ateliere fara Frontiere assists people that are in need or at risk of social exclusion. It facilitates with a solid network of institutional and social partners to (re)integrate on the labor market. Solidarity, environment protection and fighting exclusion are their main principles.
They develop IT projects to support local education and development in disadvantaged communities. They put the environment first, train in responsible management and increasing awareness of waste collection and recycling of materials.
Ateliere fara Frontiere is operational since 2008 and creates employment opportunities for people in need. They offer an employment contract for definite period of maximum 24 months and a production activity in one of the following functions: recycling, computer maintenance, logistics, packaging, cleaning, transport, design and fabrication.
For each of the employees an individual and customized coaching path is made, guided by professionals and aimed at building self-confidence, independence, training skills and strengthening the social ties with friends and family in order to (re)find a place on the labor market and in society.
