We will visit Nod Makerspace hotspot of co-creation as a part of our Metropolitan Field Trip Bucharest from Thursday the 9th of June until Sunday the 12th of June. The programme and registration form are available here!
In a building of a former cotton factory, centrally located at the banks of the Dambovita river, NOD Makerspace converted a floor of 650 sqm space into a cluster for creative industries. The space offers access to a wide range of tools and equipment for digital manufacturing and rapid prototyping. Creatives and entrepreneurs are targeted and stimulated to start their businesses, test their ideas and prototype. NOD Makerspace aims to democratize design, engineering and creative education. Most of the users are designers and architects, but among them there are also specialists in advertising, programmers, engineers and inventors. The founders are 2 young architects and together with 11 other young people they are running the business. In a period of five months the group transformed the space with minimal means and in May 2015 NOD Makerspace opened its doors.
