On May 7th, it’s time for Cityplot.org ‘s Get Down Get Dirty’s third workshop – Composting and Building Healthy Soil from 1 to 5 PM at Agora Collective in Berlin.

The key to strong, thriving plants is good soil, rich in organic matter and microorganisms. Unfortunately, many don’t seem to realise that it’s a finite resource, and that we have lost a whopping ⅓ of of global topsoil in the past 100 years!

In this workshop we’ll introduce you to the complex and dynamic ecosystem below our feet – the basis for all life on this planet – how we can use this wisely, and moreover, how we can enrich and create our own healthy, diverse and fertile soil.

Focusing on:

–Learn to analyse your soil
–Compost Basics
–Bokashi
–Sheet Mulching, Lasagna Composting and Hügelkultur
– Green manures
– Plus the ongoing Urban Permaculture analogies…

*Don’t wear your Sunday best – we’ll be getting dirty!
